  Want to try http://www.wordpress.org, but would like recommendations for UK hosting. Any suggestions?

  well, maybe you’d like to ask your question over at the wp.org forums @ http://wordpress.org/support since they’re the ones who are using wp blogs but privately hosted, unlike bloggers here who are hosted by wp themselves. =)
