Ummm…where has my media disappeared too?

Same problem. Most of my saved media is gone. Although they are visible on my web, impossible to find them on the saved stuff.
Besides I cannot find anymore the media settings. I have the impression all my editor has changed

When in the “Add Media” library, when you see only 20 pics, you can find other pictures through the search option. Just search for the title of the picture you want to use. It will give you the picture as a search result. Now you can select it and use it. You can also select it, do another search and select another picture.

Hopefully this is a temporary glitch, but I’ll keep following up in this thread, but there may not be a Staff reply for a while.

Having the exact same problem. Only so many images show up in Media Library when needing to add media. I have deadlines and many files I need to access that have a lot of caption info–a lot of work I can’t redo. Looking forward to hearing if there’s a fix.

In the interim, one can access all media library files if you write your post (ironically) in the WP Admin Dashboard>Posts>Add New
Append this to your site URL wp-admin/post-new.php

Our blog is having the same issues, happy that we are not alone. I hope it gets fixed soon. We had almost 100 pictures in there and now can only see pics used in the last 48 hours.

Thanks for the response, Jennifer. It happens in the window that opens when you are trying to add a new image to a post via the New Dash Editor “Add Media” button. It’s okay if it takes a bit to get it fixed…I can temporarily work around it. I’m mostly just relieved that mine is not an isolated problem.

Adding media – the media library is truncated to 20 items (the most recent ones)
seems like this happened in the last day or two as everything was ok before. The screen style has changed a bit so I suspect a bug has been introduced by a modification. Several posts above seem to be similar so I’m clearly not alone.Going to the media library directly shows all items correctly – so nothing is missing. Just unable to use them right now,

me too, now I see 20 other pictures, but my space used is getting higher, if I search, media is not complete, it is just show 20 pictures too,

Thankfully the media is still there, but there’s apparently a glitch in the new editor (Which all the apps apparently use). If you use the older editor in wp-admin you should still see all your images as usual.
It’s an annoyance, but not panic inducing as the images are still present.

Same thing happened to me – looks like the WP staff is on retreat this week, hopefully they can figure it out sooner rather than later.
