Un-Linking My Blog

    Hi. I’m Leslie K. Howard. My blog is Sweet Morning Muse. I’ve had this WP blog since 2011.

    Last month I decided to build a new website with Host Gater. When I discovered they used WP to build sites, I decided to move my blog files over to Hostgater. I figured it would more convient to have the blog and the website in the same place. Little did I know that I would not like Hostgater and want to cancel my plan.

    Now I’m hesitant to do it because I’m concerned if I cancel Hostgater I would also cancel my WordPress access to my blog.

    So my question is: If I cancel the Hostgater account will I still have access to my WordPress blog. Remember I had Sweet Morning Muse for years before I decided to join it with Hostgatger.

    Hi there!

    Just to clarify, are you referring to this WordPress.com site? https://sweetmorningmuse.wordpress.com

    This will not be affected if you cancel your site hosted by Hostgator. Only the site that’s hosted by them will be removed. If you want to import content before canceling your Hostgator site, you may follow this guide:
