Un-mapping a domain from a deleted blog

  Hi,

  I recently deleted a wordpress blog to move to a new one to be hosted on hostgator. But before I deleted the site I didn’t un-map my custom domain from it, and now when I try to connect my domain to my new wordpress site on hostgator it just comes up that the old site is no longer available as it was deleted.

  Is there something I’m missing? I’ve changed my name servers on godaddy to the appropriate hostgator servers and I’m confused as to what I need to do.

  All help appreciated.

  Once you change your name servers away from WordPress.COM and to HostGator – domain mapping should not matter.

  But it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to migrate across the internet. During that time access to your blog will be erratic
