Unable to access

    I was able to log in to the website on Saturday but was unable to make changes due to poor internet connection. When logging in now, I am met with 403 errors and “you have been locked out” pages. I believe the website has been hacked, as can be seen by our News tab that is full of spam. When trying to log in through WordPress, it says that the username is not real, even though it is how I have logged in for years. I have tried to recover the website through WordPress, but because the username is no longer real, I can’t get access.

    Hi there, 

    I can see your site is not hosted on WordPress.com and uses open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) and this forum is focused on sites hosted on WordPress.com. 

    The WordPress.com and WordPress.org sites are completely different: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org 

    Your hosting provider may be able to help you with your issues since WordPress.com has no control over sites hosted elsewhere.
