Unable to access backup and close account

I would like to get a copy of my latest backup and close my account before it renews. This is proving very difficult to do.
When I try to access backups through JetPack I get the error:
<quote>Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection</quote>
When I got to Jetpack plugin, it tells me everything is <quote>A-OK</quote> with my Jetpack plugin.
I get similar errors anytime I try to go to any menu item that looks like I may be able to cancel my subscription. I am giving the benefit fo the doubt this is all not by design. Please, help me get a copy of my latest backup and close my blog before it auto-renews.
