Unable to Access Domain and Plan with Email
-
I purchased a domain and a service with with this google account yesterday. I was then able to write my first draft. But I noticed I did not receive a receipt of purchase. Later that day I downloaded the WordPress app to continue working on the domain. When I signed in, it treated me as if I never used this google account before to sign in. I then was unable to see my post I drafted earlier that morning and unable to see my domain. I have a charge on my bank account from WordPress, I was able to verify the charge was valid through “Why was I charged” but when I clicked on the link to receive the receipt, it took me to my account billing history with nothing there. When I try to “recover my account” using the URL, and the transaction number used to verify the purchase, I was given a message that I am not providing information. When I go to the domain I purchased, it is hosted by WordPress, but I can no longer use my email address to access it.

Hi there!
It appears you are logged into the wrong account. You paid for a WordPress.com plan and registered a domain, but it was on a different WordPress.com account, not the @basicbiobabeabfd59b203 account you’re logged into right now. Please log out of this account and log into the correct account to access your paid site.
If you’re unable to log into the correct account, you’ll need to submit the account recovery form with the correct transaction ID. I see that you submitted the form already, but the transaction ID was invalid. Please follow the steps here to locate the transaction ID on your credit card statement and submit it again here.
Our account recovery team will be happy to assist you via email to help you log into the correct account.

I tried the transaction ID and the number on my statement and it is still telling me that it is invalid. This was not a PayPal purchase. I tried contacting support through email but have not had a reply.

if I deleted this account associated with the email I used and clicked the verify the same email link again to verify my email for the domain, will that do anything?

Hi there,
The email you used for this account cannot be the same as the one you used for the first account you created because it is not possible to use the same email for two different accounts. It makes me wonder if there may have been a misspelling of the email when you created the first account.
What is the URL of the site you created along with the email address used? I want to find the account you created. No worries, the email will be redacted from the public, and only staff will be able to view it.
Thanks! -

Hi there,
Yep, the email is misspelled. You had “.con” instead of “.com”. That is why you were able to create your basicbiobabeabfd59b203 account with the “same” email address.
So, I would suggest you updatebasicbiobabeabfd59b203to a different email address, which will free up yourbasicbiobabeto be used with the correct email. Once you have changed the email address, post back in this thread, and I’ll correct the misspelling for you. Then, you should have no issue logging in.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you! -

When attempting to update your email, I received an error message saying it is still associated with a different account. I would confirm that you were able to successfully change the email and save it. Let me know if you no longer see that email. Thank you!
