Unable to access domain panel
-
Hello,
I am trying to transfer my domain name from WordPress.com to a WordPress.org site hosted on Siteground. The problem that I am running into is that I am unable to access the domain section of my WordPress.com site. I originally registered this domain through WordPress.
I need to access this portion of the site so that I can: change the DNS settings, generate the EPP code and finish the transfer. I do not need any of the content from the current wordpress blog but I would like to use my existing domain name.
When I tried to access the domains page I was told by the system to “use a valid site”
Thank you in advance for any help that you any provide!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, As long as you are logged in with the username that purchased the domain, you should be able to access the domain panel on the site it was originally mapped to. In this case possibly uofahsmun.wordpress.com
Then you can follow this guide to transfer the domain name to a different registrar: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
Also, if you purchased an upgrade plan of any kind under this username account, you can contact Staff directly at https://wordpress.com/help/contact as long as you are logged in with the username account that purchased the upgrade. If you do go that route, please let us know.

Hi there,
Only the owner of a domain can transfer it, and your account does not own any domains.
The domain, hsmun.org, belongs to the username, uofahsmun. You need to be logged in as that username in order to initiate a transfer.
