unable to access domain/transfer to another host
-
I was emailed that my site (www.eileenbochslerart.com) subscription was needing to be paid. I have transferred my account (and I thought my domain) to WIX. I was told that my domain (www.eileenbochslerart.com) was still managed by WordPress. I was also provided instructions on how to transfer my domain. I am unable to access this account (www.eileenbochslerart.com) on WordPress. I am only able to access longing4italy and eileenbochslerart.wordpress.com. I need to transfer eileenbochslerart.com to WIX and I would like to insure that all my accounts in WordPress are closed. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi @eileenb64. While the domain eileenbochslerart.com is mapped/connected to Wix, it is registered at WordPress.com.
To transfer the domain to another host, you need to log into your WordPress.com account that currently owns it. To see your owned domains, go to wordpress.com/domains/manage, if you see your domain listed there, you’re in the right account and can start the transfer process. Here are the instructions to transfer your domain to another host: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/transfer-domain-registration/

About billings and payment, I’ll tag the staff here for them to explain it to you.
Also, is there an easy way to contact the support team?
For free users, we can use the forums and tag the staff, as I said before. They are active members here. If you’re a paid user, the options are email ticket, and live chat, depending on your plan. See more about it here: https://wordpress.com/support/help-support-options/#access-to-support.

I tried logging into my account, but it does not show this domain. Wix shows that my domain is managed by a third party. When I contacted WordPress support earlier today, I was told that you all still host my domain.

Hi there!
It looks like the domain is registered on a different WordPress.com account, so you will need to log out of @eileenb64 and log into the correct account to manage it. If you’re unable to log in, please fill out the account recovery form, and our team will help you via email to log into the correct account.
Thanks!

@eileenb64, I see that you created another topic. To keep the forum more organized, please reply to this thread, the new one will be marked as duplicate.
Only the staff can help you with payments and account recovery, but I’ll try to clarify some things for you.
I received an email that I need to pay my account (eileenbochslerart.com) subscription.
Your domain is hosted at WordPress.com. Since the domain expires in two months, I believe the email was to renew your domain.
I am unable to access this account.

@aisajibThis is the best way for you to get the help you need. Fill out the form, and they will contact you through email. Remember that they can’t just give you access to an account without verifying ownership.
I no longer want to pay for a site subscription
Read again the email you received and check if it’s asking for you to pay for a plan, or just the domain. If it is just the domain, then you’re simply paying to keep ownership of eileenbochslerart.com, it doesn’t matter where you use it.
but I do need to confirm that WordPress is still hosting my site
@aisajib said that “the domain is registered on a different WordPress.com account,” so yes, the domain is hosted at WordPress.com. The thing is that the account is not @eileenb64.
