Unable to access my admin page!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Spent the last hour trying to troubleshoot this site. I used to be able to upload posts no problem, accessing my WordPress admin site. Seems the page or server is no longer available?!?!

  Can’t upload or edit posts. Keep getting an error message that Jetpack is not working, click the link which takes me to, you guessed it, the admin site that no longer seems to be available.

  Anyone else with this special brand of frustration have a solution? :-)

  Thank you!!! I really appreciate the reply to my post.

  I have a friend who is much more knowledgeable than I regarding the intricacies of maintaining a website; it is what he does for a living. Apparently he can tell that the last update I did on the WordPress admin page, about a week ago, was cutoff mid upgrade and corroded the files on the host site. The entire site is messed up, not just the admin page, and has to be wiped out. Luckily he can save the content from the old database file. I will have to rebuild it from scratch.

  Thanks anyway. Seems like a hassle for a hobbiest blogger. Should probably revert to using a typewriter instead of trying to figure out WordPress coding :-)

  This is the lovely error message by the way. Seems common from what I could find online but not necessarily easy to correct.

  Not Found

  The requested URL /wp-admin/index.php was not found on this server.

  I’m glad to hear you’ve been able to sort this out!

  Searching through the WordPress.org support forums is always helpful when you’re not sure what’s going on, or what to do. Chances are, that someone out there has also experienced the issue.

  Self hosted WordPress sites use the WordPress.org support forums since they are using a different version of WordPress. This guide explains the differences in WordPress.com (here) and WordPress.org.
