Unable to access site.
-
Hello. I used wordpress to build my site about a year ago. I did not restore hosting until now and was trying to get the site back up and running but it seems to be missing. Nothing exists in my profile and trying to access wordpress from the hosting website only gives me a 404. I might just have terrible memory but is there a way to backtrack everything and get it back online? Thanks!

Hi there,
We do not have backups or historical data for outside WordPress hosts like GoDaddy, so we are not able to assist you on restoring your previous site.
To clarify, your host has added the Jetpack plugin to your site over there, which adds some of the functionality that we offer built in here on WordPress.com. However, that does not extend to or backup system by default.
You may wish to contact GoDaddy and see if they have any backups on their end, as they may still retain those if your account has not lapsed for too long.
For the future, you can add our Jetpack Backups to your site. This will not help you recover any previous content, but it would protect you in the future by taking full incremental backups of your site. More info about VaultPress backups here.
