Unable to access website since subscribing

    Hi,

I subscribed to this content on Saturday morning and have had major problems accessing it ever since.

Today, I received an email to say there was a new article up so I clicked on ‘reader’ in the email and was given the option to ‘subscribe’ or ‘login’.

I clicked on login but then it took me to a new page where the only option is to click on subscribe.

Having paid £20, I find this incredibly frustrating that I cannot access this content.

Can you please help! When I registered it allowed me to do this using just my email address and no password but I wish I had a password to login as the format provided is not working and is constantly asking me to subscribe when I have.

Are you just trying to follow someone else’s blog or were you intending on creating your own site?

If you only intended to follow a blog, you should be able to get a refund on the hosting plan.

Hi there, If you subscribed to a paid subscription on a site hosted here on WordPress.com, you can follow this guide to cancel it https://wordpress.com/support/recurring-payments/

Also, you should be able to contact the site owner offering the paid subscription directly from their contact page.

    Hope that also helps.

I have cancelled it but I already paid 20 pounds so I can’t access the content I’ve paid for until my monthly subscription ends.

what a shambles of a site this is with no support.

@mmgd2010 Hello again, what is the full address of the site where you subscribed? The information you provided above is not a link to the site.

Have you looked on that site for a contact page? The link might be present in the site footer if not at the top of the website navigation.

Surely there is a live chat facility or someone can contact me to sort this. Can’t believe word press is so bad. Imagine paying a subscription and not being able to access the content or receive any live support, it’s absolutely laughable service.

    Did you already read https://wordpress.com/support/recurring-payments/?

If you just bought something (or are about to) from a WordPress.com site offering recurring payments, the transaction is between you and the site owner. WordPress.com only facilitates the processing and management of the subscription.

Can I Get a Refund for a Recurring Payment?
The transaction is between you and the site owner, so you must refer to their refund policies or contact them directly via their website.

There should be a login page with a ‘forgot password’ or ‘reset password’ option. Try using it. It worked for me. Just enter your email address to see if the system allows you to create or reset your password.

  • Hi @mmgd2010 I do not see any upgrades under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

Is it possible you made your purchase under a different login? I can confirm that riskforrewards.co.uk is registered at WordPress.com but is under a different account and not your @mmgd2010 account.

If you do not recall how to log in to your other account you can fill out the form here to get assistance from our Account Recovery team: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

On that form you will be asked to provide a transaction ID for any previous purchase, which you can typically find on your credit card statement. More info on how to find that here

    https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id

Once you are connected to the correct account we are happy to assist you further. Thanks!
