I’m getting 404 error when I tried logging into my site. I requested a link send to my email and when I logged in, I’m getting the message below.
‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection

Hi there!
Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.
Thank you!

Thanks for sharing. Taking a closer look I can see that the site is actually hosted by namecheaphosting.com, not us.
We aren’t able to access the site to provide any insights or support because the site is not using our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com.
When using our managed environment our team handles all the back end details like updates, security, spam, seo, and so on. This allows you to focus on content.
For help with running your own WordPress installation (which is how the site is currently set up) you can try contacting Namecheap or use the volunteer network on https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
More details about our hosting plans on WordPress.com can be found here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/ Reach back out with any other questions about how to move your site so this sort of situation is prevented in the future. -
I am trying to migrate to WordPress through Bluehost but got the below error message. My site is a WordPress site.
“Shoot, looks like we’re not compatible.
We’re sorry, this migration tool is only for WordPress sites. Please reach out to our professional services team to see if they can help with your next steps” -
To clarify, are you trying to move this site on to WordPress.com’s managed hosting environment?
We can only help with sites that use our hosting. If this message is coming from Bluehost then you need to reach out to them for assistance. We don’t have any access to your site as it is now to provide help.
It sounds like our managed hosting environment is a better fit for your project and experience level. When using our managed environment our team handles all the back end details for the site. This leaves you to be able to focus on the content. Again, these plans can be found on https://wordpress.com/pricing/ and we can help you figure out the right option for your project, and then continue to help you as questions come up.
