Unable to access WP.com account setup by old IT Company

  Hello,

  We are trying to gain access to our WordPress.com site which was setup by a previous IT Company. The business owner is unable to get in touch with them and their telephone number is no longer recognised. It appears they are no longer trading.

  Ideally we want to redirect visitors to the the website on the business domain or close this old WordPress account down. It currently ranks #1 for Google search and does the business no favors.

  I tried going down the Account Recovery route but without proof of ownership you simply cannot submit the form. https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

  What can we do to resolve this issue?

  The website in question is: https://northernwholesaledistributors.wordpress.com/. I am working with the business owner to try to recover this.
