Unable to activate new theme for new site

  Hi, I have tried to activate the theme Cubic for my new site. The feedback message says it is unable to do so and asks that I contact support. I have copied below a flag banner that showed up.
  ‘This site may be a copy of WordPress with a different hosting service. Here’s the best way to find help with that. If you’re not sure though, please share your question with a link, and we’ll point you in the right direction!’
  Is Cubic not an actual WordPress theme?

  To install Cubic on your self-hosted WordPress site (sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.) you will want to use this version of the theme. The one we offer here on WordPress.com is intended for use on WordPress.com only:
