Unable to activate SSL
-
Hello, My site has security issue so I tried to change it from http:// to https:// but I’m unable to get SSL certificate.
I tried to download SSL plugins and only got error message ‘Installation failed: Could not create directory. /var/www/wptbox/wp-content/upgrade/wp-force-ssl.1.67’
And I tried to fix but I check everything on the interface, nothing related to this issue or site security or hosting or domain at all.
When I search, the result suggets me to navigate dashboard for domain or SSL button, but nothing on my dashboard, only Woocommerce update news and 2 more useless information.
I don’t know where to start and it’s frustrating.WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: NoThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi @virtual7e9fe86288,
I understand you are having SSL issues with your WordPress site, scribalist.art.
Upon checking, I discovered your website is a self-hosted site using the open-source WordPress software (https://wordpress.org). We wouldn’t have access to it here at WordPress.com, as we are a managed hosting service, not linked with your hosting provider, Namecheap. We explain the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org in the link below.

I recommend reaching out to Namecheap for tailored assistance. You can refer to this link for information on where your website is hosted.

Additionally, if you’re looking for a hosting service that includes robust support, consider our offerings at WordPress.com. We provide a seamless migration process at no additional cost, which could help simplify your setup and ongoing management.
Here is a support document that explains how you can migrate your site to WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-an-entire-wordpress-site/
Let me know if you have other questions
