Unable to Add a Text Widget

    Hi,

    I need to add the following widget in my blog.

    <iframe scrolling=”no” height=”150″ frameborder=”0″ width=”240″ style=”padding-left: 10px;” allowtransparency=”true” src=”https://login.wealtherp.com/?AdviserId=TKDdCO9qyJ+pjrc/X/5CDA==” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ />

    However, whenever I add this to the text widget and save, the text automatically disappears.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    The problem is the bit of code you are trying to add includes an I frame which is one the list of prohibited additions to WordPress.COM sites.

    Thanks for your response.

    But is there any way to edit the code and make it compliant with wordpress standards so that it can be added? Someway out to solve the issue?

    No, not unless they provide an HTML-only version of the code. No javascript, either. That looks like an ad, anyway, and user-initiated ads are banned here. If you succeeded in getting it up and running, your whole blog would be suspended.

    The widget is actually a tool to enable people to log-on and view their investment portfolios. It is provided by our software provider and is not an ad. Does it change things or we would still not be able to use the widget?

    Well, if they don’t provide an HTML-only version, the point is moot. Given it’s a logon to a different site, it’s unlikely there is any way to use it here. You could create a text widget and put a static image and a link to their site in it.

    Thanks a lot. That information helps a lot.
