Unable to Add an Image to a Page
-
I am unable to add an image to a page. I was able to add images in the past although I have been having this problem off and on for a long time. In the past it seemed that if I kept trying everything I could think of it would finally work. But now I am at my wits’ end as to what to do. When I click on the “add an image” icon. a panel appears. I can either upload a file from my computer or get an image from Media. Then when I click on “Insert into Post,” the panel turns white and never goes away. If I click back on the page it appears that the image has been inserted but when I click on “Update” the image disappears — it has not actually been inserted on the page. I am using Mac OS X v. 10.4.11 and Safari v. 3.0.4. If anyone can help me with this, I would certainly appreciate it.

First thing to try is log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies restart Safari and then try again.
Also, check and see if you can use Safari 4 with 10.4.11. I think you can.
Do you by chance have Firefox installed that you could try?

One other note, make sure you have the latest version of flash installed in your browser.

I emptied cache and restarted the computer and that did not help. Then I downloaded Firefox and was able to insert an image with that browser.
Thank you for your help! -
You’re welcome. I’m not sure what the issue is with Safari 3.0.4. There was an update here about a month back to wordpress core 3.1, perhaps that has introduced a problem.
Thankfully FF is working for you.
