Unable to add blocks to embed form from WPForms

    I am trying to add a contact form with a file upload option via the WPForms plugin. The plugin is installed, the form is created. I cannot figure out how to add a block with the form in it. All the tutorials say to click the add button on the top left corner, but there is no add button. I am looking around in the block editor and there is no way to add a block.
    There is another way, by selecting the page to embed the from from inside the WPForms plugin, but it keeps failing. I am trying to update the version of wordpress, in hopes that it will have the add block button in the newer version, but that keeps failing too.
