Unable to add credit card to my account

I am unable to add a credit card to my account a I keep getting an error message. I have checked with my bank and was told there is no hold. I tried with all my cards with different banks and got thesame error

Hmm. Perhaps your browser is storing some old details that are interfering. Can you try clearing the cache once?
Write back and let me know if that makes any difference. If not, my next suggestion would be to try using a different browser once.

In my WordPress.com profile I am correctly entering a valid credit card in the ‘Manage Purchases’ section. Yet I keep getting the error message: ‘There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.’ I need this credit card to stick so I can buy postage through WooCommerce Services.
