Unable to add my blog in my account

  I am unable to add a blog which i have created on a different web domain. I want to add the blog under “My Dashboards” which come in the wordpress account. I have done it before but now i don’t remember.please suggest me how to do it.

  What is it that you are trying to do? This is a forum for blogs on wordpress.com. The blog on your user profile is not a wordpress.com blog. To assist you in any way I would need the link to your blog and the blog yo are trying to add.

  I am trying to add this wordpress blog ” http://www.srikanta.co.cc/blog” to my wordpress account so that i can check out the stats.

  I think you have to have the akismet key installed on that blog. But since it is not hosted here, you may have to contact support.

  Actually i have the akismet key and i have added another blog from the same webhosting service couple of months back but i have forgotten the procedure now.

  Did you install the stats plugin and fill in your API-Key?

  Yes i have installed the stats plugin and its working fine. API key is also filled. Is it that the option i am looking for has been removed by wordpress??

  If recall correctly that should have don the trick. Are you sure the API Key belongs to the WP.com account in question?

  Yes i’m sure its the API Key from WP.com account infact its the only way one can get the key i guess..

  i have the same problem but I cant view stats. it says:

  Error from last API Key attempt:

  Missing API Key

  The WordPress.com Stats Plugin is not working because it needs to be linked to a WordPress.com account.

  Enter your WordPress.com API key to link this blog to your WordPress.com account. Be sure to use your own API key! Using any other key will lock you out of your stats. (Get your key here.)

  What I would do is not write it down, but copy/paste, because sometimes there’s too much similiarity between L’s and I’s and 1’s etc. And it cannot hurt to contact staff for guidance:
