This functionality does not seem to be working. Is there a place I can post a screen shot of this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can I please verify if you are referring to the blog linked to your username wearing the Coraline theme or not?

Troubleshooting – Custom menu isn’t appearing!
Go to the custom menu page in the dashboard Appearance > Menus and in the “Theme Location” module on the upper left select your custom menu from the pulldown and then click “save”.

Troubleshooting – Pages and or Subpages not appearing in custom menu or not able to add them

    Drag and drop isn’t working!
If you have difficulty with positioning using the drop and drag method then do check the sub-pages themselves to see if you have established a Parent page and child page “hierarchical structure” in the page attributes module. Remove if required. Also remove any “order” numbers you have assigned that may conflict with the order you are creating by dropping and dragging. Or simply change them so they are the same order as you establish in the menu. Establish consistency – problem solved.

Yes, we’re referring to the blog of the username that’s in coraline theme.

We set the custom menu on the Appearance>Menues “Theme location” module on upper left. Still, we have no drop down menu for the “Pages” just below that. Also, we have no “Parent Page” showing on the Page Attributes module.

Did you create the pages first using this process?

I created several pages via the dashboard Pages>New Page. When doing this, there was no parent page Page Attribute info/options. None of my pages came up on my site.

I just now created a page via the Admin drop down menu, which has the parent page attributes & this one page is showing up on my site, but I can’t seem to created more pages for the nav bar.

That’s extremely odd. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? Which browser and version of it are your using? Also how are you connecting to to the internet and to WordPress.com please?

  • Unknown's avatar

I just cleared my cookies. I’m using firefox 6.0.1 & I’m connected to the internet via ethernet.

Doing the above has not resolved my issues.

When I create a new page, whether through the dashboard or admin drop down, there is no Parent component under the Page Attributes module.

Should I be using wordpress.org or wordpress.com for my business site on which I plan to have ecommerce?

As you have not been able to resolve that ans as Staff is unavailable until Tuesday then you can report this at this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

I’m afraid e-commerce isn’t possible here at WordPress.com, and there are no plans to develop anything for that at this time.

If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, there are no restrictions on e-commerce if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a free hosted WordPress.com blog. See here to learn the differences: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
