  I am unable to add NEW tags to my posts. I have always been able to do so in the past.

  There is no need to create a duplicate thread. If you would have taken time to take a look in our forums, you would have seen this is a known issue. Just follow up at https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/cant-attach-tags-to-a-post/
