Unable to add videos to posts
-
I really need some help.
I can no longer add videos to my posts – I used to be able to do it by adding media and then copying and pasting the Youtube URL. Now when I do this a red box comes up saying ‘The file could not be uploaded because the file type is not supported.’
I’m not very tech savvy and have been trying to find a solution online but I just can’t. So I’m hoping someone on here can help me. Surely WordPress hasn’t disabled this feature?!
Happy New Year.

All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. If you need more space you can purchase the Premium plan which will give you an additional 10 gigabytes of storage space, and allow you to upload audio files. The Business plan includes infinite storage.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/There are no bandwidth limits.
The sources of video embeds that WordPress.com supports for all of our blogs – no upgrade required are found here.

However, if you upload them to youtube or another supported video source site then you do not need the upgrade. -
