Unable to Change Background

    Hello, I’ve been on WordPress for about two years now, and have stuck to my theme, Splendio, for a very long time. However, whenever I try to customize my background by clicking Appearance -> Background, it brings me to the Customizer. When I click the “Colors & Backgrounds” tab, everything seems fine, but whenever I try to click the ‘Change’ button on the box, well…nothing happens. It doesn’t even acknowledge that my mouse is there. Splendio does say it has a custom background option, and I do have a custom background right now, but why won’t it let me use a new one? I also have my own domain (.com, not wordpress.com), but I don’t see how that would have any effect; I don’t have any other upgrades. I haven’t changed my background since about the time I changed to my theme, so maybe I’m just doing something wrong. Either way, I want help ASAP, if possible.     I’ve got the same problem! Someone from WordPress to help us out here!! I also invested on buying a .com domain, but I need this problem to be solved ASAP.

    When you say nothing happens while using the customizer, I’m wondering if you are running an up to date browser version found at http://browsehappy.com

    Please tell us
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/

    @acalderon20 I don’t see this issue on your upgraded site, but if you’ll open a new thread and let us know which site is giving you trouble, we’ll take a look.

    I seeing that too on your site, and have confirmed on another site using the Splendio theme. I’ll report this and write back when we’ve got a solution.

    Thanks for the help everyone! I contacted Customer Support, and they helped me considerably. Apparently a recent update created it to where the background customization button is broken. They said they are contacting the developers of Splendio, but until then they provided a link that redirects to the old version of the background setting. I recommend contacting them as soon as possible so they can help you as well by using a chat.

    Hi haleystanton – you should be able to modify your background now, but please let me know if you still have any trouble. Thanks for your patience while we got this fixed up!
