Unable to change blog name but new name is available?

  Hi,

  I would like to change my blog name to jennamakes.wordpress.com but when I attempt to do this from the Dashboard, it tells me that the site already exists. However when I go to this URL, it says that the “jennamakes.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this blog.”. Is it possible to change to this blog name please?

  No. WordPress does not recycle account / blog names. The URL was deleted by the owner so now it is gone forever.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You could modify the name, say with a number before or after or try something like J3nnamak3s…

  Or you could pay for a domain upgrade and register jennamakes.com (or .net or one of the others) if it’s available;
