Unable to change e-mail address

  I’m trying to update my email address to (email visible only to moderators and staff) so I can delete the (email visible only to moderators and staff) email account. When I do, I get a prompt that says there is already an account associated with (email visible only to moderators and staff). I logged in with the (email visible only to moderators and staff) e-mail and get the same account as (email visible only to moderators and staff). I don’t understand?

  Hi! They’re not the same account actually, but similar!

  Have you thought about using an alias so you can have both accounts under “one” email? Different providers offer different ways to do it. Here’s how it’s done with Gmail, for example. Instead of:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Use this:

  (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  You can make that +1, +whatever, +doesnotmatter … whatever letters or numbers make the most sense to you. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect a second email account that delivers to the same address.
