Unable to change email

I had 2 free WP blogs and used one particular email for those blogs. Recently, I created a new paid WP site using a separate email but now I am receiving notifications for the new site through the old email I used for my initial 2 blogs even though I did not create the new site through my old email. I tired updating the email address on my old blogs to my new email but I am getting an error message that the ’email is already in use.’
Is there no way to switch my email to my new email address? I cannot keep using the old email? Is there a way to make sure WP notifications for my new site go to the new email associated with that WP site instead of the old email I have on my old sites? It shouldn’t be impossible to update my email if there is a switch to new one.WP.com: Unknown
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

Hi! Each email address can have but one account. Do you want to move the older stuff into this new username so it’s accessible? Here’s how you can transfer everything so it’s under the account of your choice:

Alternatively, you could use an alias. For example, if you use Gmail, instead of using this:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)Use this:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)Does that help?

Does transferring the older 2 blogs to my “new” username (i.e. my new email that I used to create my new WP site) prevent me from using those sites anymore? The article link you sent noted that once you transfer to the new owner, you are removed as the site owner. Does that mean I cannot make changes to my older WP blogs anymore? Also, does this consolidate all my sites under 1 username and email? What I found odd was that when I opened my new WP site (using my new email) the system automatically placed the new site under the username and email of my old blogs. I just want to make sure I still have ownership, admin privileges etc. over my old sites plus my new site.

Hi there,
I think it will help if you can give us a bit more specific info. What is the other username you are referring to? Can you share the URLs of the sites that are on that account, which you are considering moving to this one?
By the way, our forums software will block any email address you add, so it’s non-public, and only staff can see it. With this in mind you can share the email address in question and it will help us to be able to look up the account. Thanks!

thanks, I don’t want my personal email, username, or site names on the public forum since this is related to my personal site access, can this whole thread remain non-public in fact?
I have 2 free WP blogs under username ‘sleepycritic15’ using email A:
https://artofhiraeth.wordpress.comI opened a new site and purchased a domain using email B (my username on the new site is email B):
ashleyirizarry.com (this site is not yet live)However, my new site, ashleyirizarry.com is showing under my ‘sleepycritic15’ username with email A and notifications related to that site are being directed to email A. What is even more strange is that I logged out of my sleepycritic account and logged into WP using email B; under this account, the changes I had already made to ashleyirizarry.com were not showing (it was as if no site changes had been made at all even though I made significant updates). WP also forced me to use a link that was sent to email B before I was even able to log into ashleyirizarry.com.
I’m not sure what’s going on or what happened, but it is as if there are 2 versions of my ashleyirizarry.com site; one that is being associated with email A (where my artofhiraeth and sleepycriticramblings sites are) and another version of my site that uses email B.
Ideally I would like to have all 3 sites under the same username and email (email B) since I am the sole admin and owner of each site. Please help, I’m not sure what to do at this point.

Hello there,
thanks, I don’t want my personal email, username, or site names on the public forum since this is related to my personal site access, can this whole thread remain non-public in fact?
This would not be possible.
I opened a new site and purchased a domain using email B (my username on the new site is email B):
ashleyirizarry.comashleyirizarry.com has not been created with WordPress.com, but instead has been created with Bluehost, which uses self-hosted WordPress.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ – this would be a separate entity to WordPress.com.
However, my new site, ashleyirizarry.com is showing under my ‘sleepycritic15’ username with email A and notifications related to that site are being directed to email A.
This is because ashleyirizarry.com is connected to the WordPress.com account using the Jetpack plugin.
Jetpack allows those with both self-hosted WordPress and WordPress.com sites to manage sites in one location (WordPress.com), among other features.
What is even more strange is that I logged out of my sleepycritic account and logged into WP using email B; under this account, the changes I had already made to ashleyirizarry.com were not showing (it was as if no site changes had been made at all even though I made significant updates).
The login to ashleyirizarry.com/wp-admin would be different to a login to a WordPress.com account.
Depending on the changes made, they may not either immediately or at all…. what changes were made exactly?
Ideally I would like to have all 3 sites under the same username and email (email B) since I am the sole admin and owner of each site. Please help, I’m not sure what to do at this point.
We can take this step by step – do you have a WordPress.com account using this email address? (please note, this is not the login for ashleyirizarry.com/wp-admin)
