Unable to change email address – confirmation mail received and clicked

  Hi There,
  I’m trying to change my email address associated with WordPress. The current address is (email visible only to moderators and staff) I am trying to change the address to (email visible only to moderators and staff) I do receive the confirmation email in the Gmail account and I have clicked to verify the change. When I return to the field where I entered the new email address I see a message saying that the change is pending. The first time I tried to change the email address this notice was present for two days. Same thing the second time and this time again I get the same message. Can you please help me with this. Thanks in advance for your help.
