Unable to Change Email Address due to ‘… already being used’ error

    I am unable to change my email address:
    FROM = (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    TO = (email visible only to moderators and staff)
    … due to Error = That e-mail address is already being used.

    This is the same Google account which is using SSO/SAML. The old email address is now an alias address that forwards to the new gopflag.org domain. So I do not have separate accounts and the old domain alias will be going away in the future. How do I fix this and get my email address changed to my new correct one?

    Hi there,

    I do show that the second email address you provided is already in use under a different account. Possibly one that you set up previously but have forgotten about?

    You can send yourself a login link here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

    This will allow you to log in to that account (not your @jerrypcjr account) and change the email address to something else. This will “free up” the email address, so you can use it to make the email change for your primary account.
