unable to change email, says ‘already in use’

I need to change my email address but when I try to save, it says the email is already in use. I don’t know where else that email is in use, but it’s my email. Unless it’s on my old Blogger page. Do you also own Blogger?

It seems like, the email address you wanted to change to, have already been used. Or, you might have another account in WordPress.com with the same email address you are tying to change to.Unless it’s on my old Blogger page. Do you also own Blogger?
If you are talking about your blog page on https://www.blogger.com/ please note that, your blog page would not conflict with the WordPress.com. :)
You can try resetting your password using new email address you are trying to change to here https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If you have account already in use you will be able to reset the password of it.If you have any more query please let us know here.

Ok, it turns out I do have another WordPress blog that uses the other email. I want to delete that dead blog and change the email on the living blog to the dead blog email.
Is this possible?
