Unable to change header image
-
Hi, I’ve been trying to add a new header photo to my site but something odd keeps happening. No matter what theme/template I select, the placeholder image is the same: a shot of an open laptop on a desk with someone using a stylus on a graphics tablet. And no matter what image I upload to replace it (or if I select one of the pre-existing ones), it will not go away! So basically, I can’t change the header image at all. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks for your help, timethief.
Just a note – the site I am actually trying to modify is http://spanishtuitiontroon.wordpress.com

Hi Jessie,
That image is actually pulled from the ‘Featured Image’ for your site’s home page (the one titled ‘Home’). All you need to is change the featured image for that page and it will update on your site.
Here’s a document and video explaining how to work with featured images for your posts and pages: https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/

Aha! Thank you so much, Hugh. I think I would’ve gone crazy trying to figure that out for myself!
