unable to change header image aften installing Gateway theme
-
Dear WordPress,
I am unable to change the header image, it changes inside the settings, but the image visible on the page stays unchanged.
I have set the theme to Gateway earlier and after that the header image displayed on the page got stuck to their default image. I have tried changing the themes, but the image remains to be Gateway’s default images.
Exactly the same thing happened for two of my pages that I set theme to Gateway on the same day 22 July 2016, the problem persists until today.
Is there a way to f.ex. roll back the changes that a theme has made?

Hi,
What you describe is a very common problem that WordPress.com has been made aware of, yet nothing is being done about it fast.
In both case, the image that you think is a header image is in fact a default featured image on the static front page. See the Featured Images support page. To remove it and allow your custom head image to appear in its place, see the Removing a Featured Image section of the support page.
