Unable to change login username.

  I have a blog named xyz.wordpress.com and I now want my login username to be xyz. But I am not being allowed to do that.

  I even tried making a new account with xyz as username. Wasn’t allowed that either.

  Now I know that nobody else has taken xyz as their username. I’m not being allowed to use the username for a blog I myself registered. Why is that?
