unable to change my email

  Hello,
  I am trying to change my primary email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to lesliekbutler@gmail but it is telling me that the lesliekbutler@gmail is already in use.

  I just received a user comment today and it went to the (email visible only to moderators and staff) email and that is the one that is in my settings. So I am pretty sure that I didn’t already change it. Hope you can understand this confusing dilemma.

  lesliekbutler@gmail is my email address so not sure how it can already be in use.

  Hi there,

  If (email visible only to moderators and staff) is coming up as already in use, it means that you likely have already used it for a previous account/blog at another time. Unfortunately our system is set up specifically so that each email address can only be associated with one account, so you would not be able to re-use this email address.

  If you’re curious about which account you used, you can reset your password for (email visible only to moderators and staff) right here:

  http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  And then log in again!
