Unable to change name server

    Hi everyone,

    I registered my domain with WordPress but just cancelled my premium plan today. I am trying to move my web hosting from WordPress to hostgator but am unable to do so. I changed the name server to (ns8209.hostgator.com | ns8210.hostgator.com) as instructed by a helper from host gator. But after doing that, my website has become unaccessible. I would like to resolve this asap so I can get started to work on it. Is there a certain amount of time this process takes until it will be up again? This is was the message received from the host gator employee:

    “And since Automattic is your registrar they’re the only one who can point your domain to our nameservers. I suggest you get in touch with them, inform them of the situation and ask them to point your domain to this nameservers: (ns8209.hostgator.com | ns8210.hostgator.com).”

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    Your domain’s name servers are correctly set to Hostgator’s, but it can take up to 72 hours for a name server change to finish updating – I’m surprised Hostgator support didn’t tell you this.

    Your domain is already loading your Hostgator site for me. If it isn’t for you, please try clearing your browser cache. Else you’ll just have to wait for this process to complete.
