Unable to change the domain address for my free site

  I am unable to change my site address and no idea why. It just won’t let me.

  Are you sure the new site address is still available? Just check it out by typing the url in your browser.

  I haven’t launched the site yet, maybe that’s why?

  It won’t let me do anything, the “change primary domain” button is greyed out

  Hi @tmichelle80 I can see that https://truthinchaos423229019.wordpress.com/ is still set to private, but you can change the primary address in that situation, the site does not have to be public.

  However, the option to change primary is greyed out because that option normally only appears if you have purchased or mapped a custom domain to your site. In this case I don’t see any upgrades on your account, so I would not expect you to have this option.

  Are you instead trying to change the spelling of your site address? From truthinchaos423229019.wordpress.com to something else, yes? If so you can do that by typing in an alternate address here.
