Unable to change username (blog showing twice)

  I created a new blog and it is showing twice on my dashboard, as if there are two of the same blogs. I am unable to change my user name from gritandgracejournal (previous primary blog) to untamedwritings (my new and now primary blog), it gives the error that that site already exists. I want to be able to sign into WordPress with untamedwritings as a username and a new password. Please help! Thank you!

  Hi Becky – The duplicate blog issue is something we’ve been running into recently and we’re still looking into the cause. I’ve removed one for you. For the username, usernames matching blog addresses are reserved for those users, so you should be able to change your username to untamedwritings.

  Do you want to replace gritandgracejournal with untamedwritings, or do you want to keep both usernames in two different user accounts?

  If you want to keep both, let me know.

  If you want to replace your current username, could you please try this again and let me know if you get the same error this time:
