Unable to connect SMTP and send emails from my website
-
I am having an issue with trying to send emails from my website to my or anyone else’s email addresses. I’ve met all requirements and filled out the proper info such as my client ID, secret, SMTP host and post, but I am constantly getting errors when email testing or when attempting to connect.
I’m using the plugin WP Mail SMTP but none of the mailing providers work. For example, when using Google Gmail SMTP – trying to connect my gmail account – I get the 403 Forbidden page, quoting, ‘You do not have permission to access this document.’ And when using other emails, I get this message:
CLIENT -> SERVER: QUIT
SERVER -> CLIENT: 221 Bye
Connection: closedThis is a major issue not just for sending emails and updates from my website, but confirmation links to admin setting changes. Like I need to change my admin’s email because the one in the setting doesn’t exist anymore, so it needs to be changed to my new updated email.
Does anyone have any solutions to solve this problem? I need to fix this problem asap otherwise I can’t continue to develop my website.

Hey there, could you confirm what site you’re working with?
If it’s with another hosting provider, you’ll want to be sure they’re allowing the SMPT connection. From the message, it would seem they’re not.
They may have also just set it up on another port.
