unable to connect to my site "modula9.net"
-
Hello,
It seems that My site “modular9.net” has been suspended due to an invalid e-mail address. I confirm that my former e-mail address is no longer valid, however I can’t access to my site with my current address, which is: (email visible only to moderators and staff). How can I update my -email address and reconnect to my site?
NB: This is the second time my site is suspended, apparently for the same reason (below, I am using the topic tag which I recovered from my first posting on the French community forum).

Hi there!
Hmm, I can see that the domain modular9.net was verified back in January, and it loads correctly. Where do you see the notification about the domain being suspended?
Your domain is connected to a different account than what you’re using to post here. If you’re having trouble accessing that account, please check out this page and fill out the Account Recovery form:

Hello,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, my domain “modular9.net” was verified in January. I saw no notification about it being suspended again, but I just inferred that it was on he basis of its January suspension.
My domain indeed is connected to a different account, “thot07.wordpress.com”, but unfortunately, although I have no problem accessing it, this is due to a mistake on my part. I did try to submit the Account Recovery form, but it keeps forwarding me to the “thot07” site, not to “modular9.net”. As “thot07” is a free plan, whereas “modular9.net” is a business plan, I need to be able to access the latter one as well.
I am sole responsible for the confusion, as I mistakenly used different e-mail addresses while trying to re-connect to either sites. However, the address which I used to access to “modular9.net” is no longer valid. My current address is the one which I posted this message with (and which works with the free site but not with “modular9.net”) but I could also use the address which I indicated in my post (and which was blinded for security reasons). In fact, if possible I would prefer using this latter address but either one could be used.
Does this helps clarifying the issue?
Thank you for your assistance and with my apologies again for the confusion.

Hi, I think we’ve almost got it. Can you clarify what you mean here?
I did try to submit the Account Recovery form, but it keeps forwarding me to the “thot07” site, not to “modular9.net”.
Can you clarify how the form is forwarding you? That sounds like something we’d want to address, but I’m having a hard time picturing what you’re seeing.

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to the Account Recovery form, as in the meantime I opened a new account (with my current e-mail address
and an auto-generated password). When I now try to connect I am directed to a welcome page telling that I don’t have a site yet and asking
if I want to create one. Should I delete this new account, although it is my understanding that it might prevent me from accessing to
other services (such as e-Commerce, etc.)?However, if I remember well, when I filled the Account Recovery Form, it first asked if I already had an existing account and advised me to connect to it (rather than submitting the AR form). But the e-mail .and password I entered redirected me to the free plan site (“thot07.wordpress.com”), not to “modular9.net”.
Sorry if I can’t be more precise. I would therefore appreciate your further assistance.

Hi there,
I can see how that might complicate the issue. For now I don’t recommend closing this current account. Instead please fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns the site you are trying to access.
Note: If you do not have the proofs asked for in that form, you can choose the Transaction ID and enter a random string of numbers to allow you to send the form.

I did fill the Account Recovery form again as you instructed me, but it replied with the following message:
“Your contact email is the same as your account – if you can receive emails you should try the password reset form instead.”
When I use the password reset form it redirects me to the current account I have access to, but not to my “modular9.net” account. The Account Recovery form doesn’t seem to have been sent at all.
Any further suggestion?

Hi there,
What kind of proof of ownership have you entered when you submitted that form?
-
I didn’t use the proof of ownership entry nor any other proofs asked for in the form, as I no longer know them. I only used the Transaction ID, which I filled with a random number, as I was instructed to do by the WordPress.com Forums.
-
Okay, I think it might be easier if you emailed our Account Recovery team directly at
passwordhelp@wordpress.com. Since these are public forums, and we can’t ask you for any sensitive information, we wouldn’t be able to help with this further.
That said, look for a recent transaction ID as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id, and email it to the address I mentioned before. Our team will get back to you from there. -
My site is recovered and fully accessible at last. This issue is now resolved and can be closed.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
