Unable to correctly link Blog to Home Page
-
Hi.
I’ve searched and read through various posts on this subject, but I don’t seem to be able to get this to work for me, so I’d be grateful of any assistance.
I’ve already had a blog up and running for a couple of weeks, but would now like to have a static Home page.
I added two new pages, one called “Home” and another, blank page called “Blog”. This last idea was something that I found when researching this topic, but I have to admit I don’t understand it: how does this “know” to link to my already existing blog?
I can change the Reading settings so that the static Home page appears when people click on my blog, which is what I want. I can even get a button on there which says “Blog”, but when I click on this it simply takes me to a blank page – presumably that very blank one I created and named “Blog”.
How can I assign my already-existing blog pages to this page called “Blog”, so that they appear when people click on that link on the static “Home” page?
Many thanks in advance.
Regards

Have you set the posts page in your reading settings to the blank page you’ve called “blog” as described in the front page support article?

Hi again.
Yes – I tried that. And I used the Menu settings so that I can get a button on the Home Page to link to the Blog, but then I can’t get the button on the Blog to link back to Home.
Perhaps this is related to my Menus – I have a Primary (which I customized) and now this Home Menu.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards
