Unable to create a site

  Hi there,

  I see this is a brand new account, and you’ve already verified your email, so you should be able to create a site.

  Can you tell me what browser, including version number you’re using?

  Does it work if you use a different browser?

  Could you please share the website URL you are facing the issue with?
  Also where exactly you are facing this issue while doing which action?

  i’ve tried with different URLs multiple times.
  one of them is: traveleatliverepeat.wordpress.com

  i am using chrome(latest version 94) and i’ve tried using firefox too.
  still unable to create the site

  That URL is definitely available so that’s not the problem.

  Are you using any browser add-ons? Does it make any difference if you disable those, or if you log in using incognito/private mode in those browsers?

  If that doesn’t help either, I’ll need you to check for JavaScript errors:

  https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/advanced-browser-troubleshooting/#java-script-errors-in-google-chrome

  Follow those steps to open the developer console in your browser, and then with that open, go through the site creation process. If you see any errors in the console at the point where you get the error message on the screen, please take a screen shot of those. You can share the screen shot here in the forums using https://snipboard.io/

  The thread you found was someone who couldn’t create a new site because they had a suspended site in their account. But the OP’s account is brand new, so that’s not the issue here :)

  i tried creating the site at college, as many students tried to create simultaneously, it wasn’t created for many of us.
  i now tried it at home and found no issue while creating the site.

  Thanks for following up! It’s not uncommon for educational institutions to have firewalls that will block services like this.

  With that in mind you may wish to have your institution ‘whitelist’ wordpress.com as well as any *.wordpress.com subdomains like econ101spring2022.wordpress.com.

  This would allow y’all to set up sites and manage them without having to log out of your institution’s network.
