Unable to Create Links with Visual Editor

    I have created my own blog bazalonia.wordpress.com, and also contribute to another. However when I’m in the Visual Editor I am undable to create links in my posts.

    I highlight the text I want to use, click the chain image and the screen appears as it should to create the hyperlink. however when I click ‘update’ instead of adding the link into the post. It asks If I want to navigate away from the page and goes back to the Dashboard.

    I can work around it by going into the HTML editor and click the blue underlined “link” button and that works but not the standard chainlink method.

    It seems to be associated with my account rather than a single blog. I’m looking for support in this area, thank you.

    The first thing to try is log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

    Also, what browser and browser version are you using?

    Have you tried a different browser?

    Browser: Firefox 3.6.13
    OS: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    I have cleared the cache and tried again and it is still requesting permission to go to a different page, it still asks to redirect to a new page but this time it’s an empty create new post page.

    I’ll try IE in a bit, as I had uninstalled it.

    Worked in IE 8.0.7600.16385 (64-bit) as normal.

    Though, though I’ve now decided that I’ll use windows live writer for my posts it would be nice to work out what happened with Firefox
