Unable to create new account

  I am trying to write guidance for new WordPress users to access my private site. I have tried to create a new account in an email address that I do not use for WordPress so that I can do screen shots to include in my guidance. I cannot get past the first create account page where I am entering my email address and getting the message “Sorry something went wrong when trying to create your account”. Can you help?

  Is it possible that your IP address is blocked due to creating too many accounts?
