Unable to customize site

According to the directions for the theme, ‘untitled’, if I want to set up a Front Page Slider, I need to navigate to Appearance–Customize–Featured Content. There is no option for Featured Content. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello
Can you confirm for me what website you are working on?
I took a look at northernvisionsmedia.wordpress.com and you are using the theme Twenty Eleven, which does not have the Featured Content section.
You can change your current theme to the Untitled theme by following the steps at https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#activate-a-theme
Then you’ll be able to set up the front page slider as you are intending.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other problems.

I am working on my hosted site, http://northernvisionsmedia.com
Is that part of the problem? -
This forum supports sites hosted on WordPress.com.
Please check out https://wordpress.org/support/theme/untitled for theme support for self-hosted sites.

You’ll need to activate the Jetpack plugin to use Featured Content on a self-hosted site. Once you activate it, the Featured Content panel should appear in your Customizer
And if you need further help, please post directly in the Untitled forum on WordPress.org as Melinda mentioned. Thanks!
