Unable to cut and paste video from youtube straight into my blog.

I have always just cut and pasted youtube videos into my blog using the address given by youtube but I am no longer able to do this as I get a message saying I have to use some kind of shortcut instead of it just being added automatically. It still says on the help advice that I should be able to do a simple cut and paste. Please could you help as i don’t understand the message that I am getting.

Please use Ctrl+V/Cmd+V keyboard shortcuts to paste contents.

I would bother fiddling with any of this because I know that simply using the youtube shortcode on a line all by itself like this example below works every time:
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxu7eZrPUyQ] -
So if I type it in directly rather than cutting and pasting but with the brackets round it that will work? I’ll have a go.
