unable to delete original site administrator

I am trying to remove the original Administrator who has left the company
When trying to delete i see a message “You don’t have permission to remove this user.” even though I am an administratorThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The blog owner must give the blog to someone else, they can’t be deleted from the blog. You need to have them transfer the blog to someone in the company.
If the blog was set up with a company email address you could do a password reset with the email if you have access to the email account and get access to the account that way

I don’t think anyone but the staff can see the blog owner – I just looked at two of my sites and did not see any info on if I owned the blog or not
I will flag this for the staff to help – but they tend not to give out personal info or who an owner is

do you see an option to delete the yourself ?
I tired looking up the option in a blog i own and don’t see an option to delete myself even if I have other admins as users -
If you own a blog – you can transfer it to someone else – when it is transferred to another account you are removed from the blog
Dashboard >> My Blogs >> Mouse over the blog name and you will see a Transfer option

In the My Blogs section, when you mouse over a blog name
If you own a blog there is the option to Transfer the Blog
If you don’t own a blog there is only the option to Leave the Blog
