Unable to disable comments

  After setting the default to disabling comments, my posts still say “Leave a Comment.” I double-checked each post and the “Allow” box is always unchecked. My theme is Tarski. Please help.

  They say “Leave a Comment” but the reply field is absent. This means you have disabled commenting but you haven’t disabled pingbacks.
  You can correct all posts at once: go to Posts > All Posts, tick the little square to select all the posts, select “Edit” from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select “Do not allow” from the Pings pulldown, click Update.
