Unable to disable comments for Twenty Eleven showcase

  Disabled comments still appear in showcase page (Twenty Eleven), as comments are disabled everywhere in the blog (settings, page, articles). I have used unsuccesfully for the showcase page all ways of disabling comments (settings, bulk action, and for every page and article). Is there any specific way to handle the showcase for comments ? Or are comments mandatory for the showcase page ? Could the trouble come from a translation ? I use a french version.
  Blog is private for the time being. I am preparing a demo.

  Hi there, in order to have the comment link disabled on those posts, you’ll need to also turn off trackbacks and pingbacks on each post, as you can see in this screenshot:

  It’s much better. Thank a lot. As a result, in the showcase page, I do have messages telling the visitors that comments are closed.

  – For those who are not curious, it’s ok.
  – For some others, they would try to writing a comment somewhere, and they will not be allowed to do so as comments are disabled. It can be disturbing.

  I guess it’s the way the showcase is working.

  As I’ll have not enough time for managing comments and answers, I may evaluate another theme. Thanks for your help.
