The site I need help with is ysbookreviews.wordpress.com.

Hi there,
We have seen this happen before with some cause.
Clearing the browser cache seemed to solve this issue. Here is some help on how to do that:
https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Let me know if that helps!

Hm, I’m not seeing an error there myself.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
-
I have no extensions or add-ons. My browser is up to date. I cleared my cookies and cache. I am using Safari 13.1.2

The current version of Safari is 14.1.1. Are you able to update to that and check again?
If not, what version of macOS are you running? The current version of that is 11.4.
-
When I check to update Safari, I am told I am up to date. I don’t understand this but that is the result I am getting.
I’m using mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6
Until just recently I have never had a problem editing.
-
As that may be the problem, macOS 10.13.6 is a a bit out of date.
Are you able to update that at all? The current version is 11.4.

-
Hm, ok, you might be on a very old Mac.
Are you able to use a different browser? https://browsehappy.com/

Hi there,
I am not sure if it’s helpful but I also found that with High Sierra you need to update Safari in a different way.
How to Update Safari in macOS High Sierra and Earlier
In macOS 10.13 High Sierra and older versions of the Mac operating system, you must use the Mac App Store to update Safari instead.
Here’s how to do that:
– Open the Mac App Store app.
– Switch to the Updates tab.
– Wait until the Mac App Store scans for new software updates.
– Select More within the Software Update section.
– Select Update next to Safari. -
I have tried Firefox with no success. I am presently downloading google chrome. Can you tell me why I was always able to edit and now cannot?
-
You can also Check that JavaScript is enabled and supported by your browser:
-
I’ve done all this a few times. I do not think I can update from Mac High Sierra as my Mac is from 2010. I do want to know why I have always been able to edit and now cannot?
-
Our software does evolve over time and incorporates newer web technologies that may require more up to date browsers.
